Chef Partner Tony Gemignani is a 12-time World Pizza Champion and is recognized for his award winning gourmet pizza. Tony and his restaurants have received critical acclaim in the pages of USA Today, SAVEUR, Men's Health and Food Arts and he has appeared as a guest on shows such as TODAY, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, and Rachael Ray. Recent accolades for Pizza Rock include: Eater Las Vegas – Winner Best Pizza, Las Vegas Weekly – Winner Best Pizza, and Eater National – One of the 21 Hottest Pizza Places in the U.S.

Tony Gemignani has received numerous accolades and is president of the World Pizza Champions. He is the only Triple Crown winner for baking and acrobatics at the International Pizza Championships in Lecce, Italy and in 2007 won the title of World Champion Pizza Maker at the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy, where he was the first American and non-Neapolitan victor. He has also been named the official U.S. ambassador of Neapolitan pizza by the city of Naples, a prestigious title only given to three people in the entire world.

Cooking for over 25 years, he has opened Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood; Tony's Coal-Fired Pizza & Slice House (next door to his flagship location); Pizza Rock in Sacramento and Las Vegas; Capo's, a Chicago-style Italian pizzeria and whiskey bar also in the North Beach neighborhood; and several more. Tony has 18 restaurant concepts in CA and Nevada.
